NSC expands in WA with another acquisition
Communications integrator, NSC Group has expanded its presence in Western Australia through acquiring the business assets of industrial automation provider, Zi-Argus.
Under the deal, NSC has purchased Zi-Argus' Nortel and Avaya customer base, which will be able to access data communications infrastructure requirements through NSC.
Smooth migration
"We are working with these new clients to ensure a smooth migration. We are then positioned to deliver our communications services backed by NSC's ITIL-based framework," NSC Group managing director, Craig Neil, said. "Should the contingency arise, Zi-Argus clients will now have access to a wider range of unified communications and contact-centre solutions."
"Business is strong in WA, and we had about half a dozen people there and we wanted to grow," he said. "We as well wanted to restructure and these two acquisitions have allowed us to do that."
Zi-Argus director, Brian Kingston, said it moved away from data networking in order to focus on its core business in industrial automation and process control.
"During the data networking business has proven very successful for us in Western Australia, we felt that an organisation just as NSC was better positioned to service our customer's ongoing unified-communications requirements," Kingston said.
