NSW Govt opens apps for $6 million collaborative program
The NSW Government has called for applications for the first stage of its $6 million collaborative solutions program, the 'Mobile Concierge', seeking mobile and wireless solutions for the tourism and retail sector. Treasurer and Minister for State and Regional Development, Eric Roozendaal, said the program will provide $2 million per year for the straightway three years to help business consortiums develop ICT-enabled solutions for various sectors of the growing digital economy.
According to Roozendaal, the first initiative of the program will focus on mobile and wireless innovations for Australia's tourism and retail sectors, during later initiatives were likely to focus on Cloud computing and ubiquitous high-speed broadband.
The same time mobile application developers
"Funding is open to business consortiums that can bring at the same time mobile application developers, innovation and service providers, device manufacturers, innovation organisations, and user organisations to deliver innovative and new-to-market solutions," Roozendaal said in a statement.
