OpenLogic Wins First Launch Pad Competition at UBM TechWeb's Sold Out Cloud Connect
"Enterprises are looking for ways to get their feet wet with cloud-based applications. The OpenLogic Trial Cloud gives them a way to get started by using the cloud to evaluate new technologies and prototype applications," said Rod Cope, CTO with OpenLogic. "We're excited to be voted by the audience as the Launch Pad winner here at Cloud Connect, where cloud computing experts are helping to drive the future of the cloud."
This year, Launch Pad participants completed a first round of submissions via Twitter. Eight companies were at that time selected to upload a short YouTube video for the community to vote for the top four finalists, who would have the chance to present live on the keynote stage at Cloud Connect. Today, the selected four Launch Pad finalists, Aryaka Networks, OpenLogic, OpTier and ScaleBase, showcased their ideas to the cloud computing community and OpenLogic was selected via live vote as the People's Choice Winner at Cloud Connect.
Record-breaking week at Cloud Connect
"We've had a record-breaking week at Cloud Connect, providing a tremendous platform for our Launch Pad participants to reap the value of all industry eyes at such a time of research in the cloud. We congratulate and thank everyone who took part," said Steve Wylie, General Manager of Cloud Connect. "We'd like to applaud OpenLogic for demonstrating new and in a class by itself applications that are helping shape the cloud computing industry."
