PHONE+ Magazine is Now Channel Partners
Virgo Publishing LLC, a business-to-business information services company, announces the official debut of Channel Partners magazine with the release of the January 2011 issue. Afterwards more than 20 years, Virgo is retiring the PHONE+ name and moving forward with one brand for the events, social networks and online and print publications.
Strong brand for the telecommunications channel
PHONE+ has been a strong brand for the telecommunications channel, providing print and online news and analysis for more than 20 years. Together, its event, the Channel Partners Conference & Expo, has found wide appeal since taking on the moniker in 2001. Virgo as well sponsors a LinkedIn group, the Channel Partners Network, with more than 3,000 members.
The rebrand is as well a reflection of the changing environment in the channel - beyond the phone and voice to converging technologies - voice with data, mobile with wireline and LAN with WAN.
"For a long time the name PHONE with the + covered that ground, nevertheless it has shifted. There is a greater convergence between telecom and IT technologies and a growing crossover among the channels that deliver them due in no small part to the emergence of new delivery models - cloud, hosted and managed services. It is only fitting that a name in other words inclusive of both telecom and IT solutions providers take us forward," said Khali Henderson, editor in Chief of Channel Partners.
