Primus Telecommunications, an integrated facilities-based provider of advanced communications products and services, has announced that its subsidiary, Primus Telecommunications, has a new Los Angeles sales office.

It’s at One Wilshire Boulevard, and focuses on the SMB market, selling fully managed VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol)-hosted PBX and data services.

The communications market

It’s "part of PTGi's ongoing commitment" to the communications market, "including traditional and IP voice, data, mobile services, broadband Internet, collocation, hosting, and outsourced managed services to business and residential consumers in the United States, Canada, Australia, and Brazil," said PTGi chairman, president & CEO Peter Aquino.

"BEX offers high bandwidth at affordable rates to companies. To support bandwidth-intensive applications, BEX leverages Ethernet-in-the-First-Mile protocols. Businesses are expected to gain from innovative innovation and create opportunities for efficiency," company officials said.

The most up-to-date

"Primus Canada is continually looking for ways to offer businesses the most up-to-date and leading-edge research that will allow them to work more efficiently and effectively," said A.J. Byers, executive vice president of business services, Primus Telecommunications, in a statement. "Companies are however able to take advantage of increased bandwidth at prices that are more affordable than traditional services."

The company’s hosted VoIP PBX (Private -Automatic- Branch Exchange) service is described by company officials as "an advanced phone and data system that offers a turnkey managed product for small and medium business clients."

The functionality of a premiere PBX system

Evidently it’s designed to deliver the functionality of a premiere PBX system, "and together offer more productivity and enhancements at a lower cost. This allows businesses to invest more in running and growing their businesses."

In addition, with PTGi's data connections, clients will have options for up to 20 megabits per second for the speed that businesses need in today's workplace, company officials say.
