PrivacyStar for BlackBerry Takes an Innovative Approach to Privacy
PrivacyStar is an "always-on" privacy application that is constantly running in the background and listening for incoming phone calls. When a call is received the application makes the decision to block the call or allow the call to ring through, depending on users' call handling preferences.
PrivacyStar takes full advantage of the unique qualities of the BlackBerry Application Platform and is fully integrated with many of the native BlackBerry applications, including the call log, text and email messaging, address book, home screen, browser and the phone application itself. With PrivacyStar, BlackBerry users can highlight any caller's number and add it to their Privacy List to block by using a standard BlackBerry menu command.
PrivacyStar provides Caller ID and allows users to lookup callers not in their address book, block unwanted callers, report unfair debt collecting practices and Do Not Call Registry violators to authorities and provides capabilities focused on allowing users to take control of their mobile phone.
