Q1 Labs Joins F5's Technology Alliance Program to Extend Reach of Security
WALTHAM, Mass., Aug 24, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --Q1 Labs, the global provider of total security intelligence solutions, today announced a technology partnership with F5 Networks, the global leader in Application Delivery Networking. By joining F5 Networks' Technology Alliance Program (TAP), Q1 Labs gains access to F5's technology solutions and resources to help increase the value of deploying the companies' products together. Combined, Q1 Labs' Security Intelligence Platform and F5(R) BIG-IP(R) products help joint customers gather enriched context information from their applications and networks.
The opportunity
"Partnering with F5 provides us with the opportunity and resources to enhance our value proposition for joint customers. Our QRadar Security Intelligence Platform goes beyond traditional Netflow-based monitoring solutions to enable application-layer network activity analysis, anomaly detection and configurable packet/content capture," said Gary Ochs, VP of Business Development at Q1 Labs. "In addition to leading SIEM and Log Management capabilities, QRadar uniquely detects and monitors more than 1000 networked applications such as VoIP, social media and P2P applications. We are focused on extending the context provided by our Platform with the addition of F5's support, helping to not only enhance our product, but provide improved infrastructure visibility for F5's extensive install base."
Q1 Labs' Security Intelligence Platform's native application monitoring capabilities provide total visibility of complex applications including Voice over IP (VoIP), Multimedia, ERP and database monitoring. The Security Intelligence Platform provides a more detailed application level context that, when correlated with network and security events, enables a more advanced analysis of the overall security posture of the entire enterprise or organization. Furthermore, the content that is captured provides key forensic data and evidence for analyzing the true impact of threats -- notably those that include potential data leakage.
