Quest partners with NetApp Inc

Sacramento's innovation management and consulting company Quest has become a partner of NetApp Inc., a Sunnvale-based storage and data management company in other words expanding into offering cloud computing solutions with service partners across the country.

Quest has been a system integrator in Sacramento since 1981, offering information innovation systems and support to everything from large regional healthcare systems to law firms.

Quest has a 25,000-square-foot data center at McClellan Business Park which it uses for its local clients, and with NetApp, Quest will be able to offer its services outside the area and like as not nationwide and in the end globally, said Quest president Tim Burke.

Data services and storage can be a commodity for some research companies, nevertheless for other enterprises, it is more important to buy capabilities in other words than commodity, Burke said. "We ask out clients 'what are you trying to do and how can we help you do it?' "

The NetApp Partner Program helps Quest clients and use cloud infrastructure without having to buy equipment or hire information research staff.

"The ability to understand the needs of our customers and at the time customize efficient cloud solutions to meet those needs is essential to Quest's business model," Burke said. "Quest relies on NetApp storage and data management to boost the power of our infrastructure, enabling us to deliver flexible, scalable, and affordable virtualization, disaster recovery and business continuity services."
