RadiSys to Present on Unified Communications Technologies at ITEXPO West 2010
HILLSBORO, Ore., Sep 29, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --RadiSys(R) Corporation (RSYS), a leading provider of innovative hardware and software platforms for next generation IP-based wireless, wireline and video networks, today announced that it will participate at ITEXPO West 2010 to be held October 4-6, 2010 in Los Angeles, Calif. The ITEXPO West conference and trade show brings together industry leaders to explore real world implementations in tandem with the most promising solutions of tomorrow. Ray Adensamer, senior product marketing manager, RadiSys, will present on how advances in next-generation communication technologies are improving end-user experience while providing new revenue opportunities for conferencing service providers.
Historically, for companies to offer any sort of voice or Unified Communications functionality, they would have had to build their own "service delivery platform" (SDP) to power those capabilities. Adding voice, text or video functionality is not available to purchase off the shelf. But with the advent of so-called "telcos in the cloud," which leverage infinitely scalable platforms, the barrier to entry for delivering advanced communications and telephony functionality as a way to provide a richer, more robust customer experience is quickly disappearing.
The opportunities
This session will discuss the opportunities and challenges that "Self-Service" telecom brings, and how the "Self Service" concept is translating into the unified communications arena. Adensamer will highlight how audio conferencing services hosted by a Conferencing Service Provider (CSP) can cost-effectively accelerate new communication capabilities and innovations into enterprise business processes.
