
Samsung Nexus S Set to Launch at Dawn Tomorrow
The first smartphone with Google's Android OS 2.3 is set to hit store shelves early on Thursday morning. The Samsung Nexus S is going to have a large, Super AM-OLED screen, dual cameras, and much more.
The second model in the Nexus series
It is attracting attention because it is only the second model in the Nexus series, and was developed in cooperation with Google to be the launch device for the then version of the Android OS.
Whether it is sold with a contract or without, it will be "unlocked", and to sum up many of its functions are usable with any GSM carrier. Now, it is only going to be compatible with T-Mobile's 3G network, not any of this carrier's rival's.
An Overview of the Samsung Nexus SThis Samsung smartphone will have much in common with this company's Galaxy S series models, including a tablet shape with a 4-inch, WVGA, Super AM-OLED touchscreen. The latest model, but, will have a display that curves to fit against the user's face.
As mentioned previously, the Nexus S is going to run Android OS 2.3 on a 1 GHz Samsung processor. It will have 512 MB of RAM., 16 GB of internal storage, and a microSD memory card slot.
The latest version of Google's operating system will bring with it an improved user interface, built-in support for dual cameras and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) software, and other changes.
