
Samsung unveils Galaxy S II smartphone
Samsung has launched a new flagship smartphone: Galaxy S II. A successor to the Samsung Galaxy S, the Galaxy S II is an Android phone equipped with a dual-core 1GHz processor. It has a 4.3in Super AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 480x800. According to Samsung, the Galaxy S II, which 125x66x8mm at its thinnest point, is the "world's thinnest smartphone".
The handset runs version 2
The handset runs version 2.3 of Google's Android operating system and supports HSPA+ and 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi. The phone will come in 16 GB and 32 GB models, and has a microSD card slot for adding storage.
Enterprise-focussed features include Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, On Device Encryption, Cisco's AnyConnect VPN client and WebEx collaboration suite, Sybase Afaria mobile device management, and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) over Wi-Fi using Cisco Mobile.
