Hectic activities are on at Sify headquarters in Chennai to formulate new products and modify its existing ones to suit the clients in Middle East. Sify is now offering end-to-end solutions with a comprehensive range of products delivered over a common telecom data network infrastructure.
The GBI cable system
The GBI cable system, which will connect all the countries of the Gulf region to each other, will provide onward connectivity to India and beyond via Sify’s landing station at Mumbai. It will provide telecom operators and other communications companies, both in the region and globally, greater choice, value, diversity and resilience.
Vegesna said the new generation innovation and class leading architecture of the GBI submarine cable system will as well take telecommunication services in India to the then level. The company has licenses to operate national long distance and international long distance services and offers VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) back haul to long distance subscriber telephony services.
"We will have over 50 Gbps of bandwidth between India, Middle East and Europe and this will establish our presence and reputation on the global telecom map. We are working with our Middle East telecom partners to create seamless network services to serve Indian, Asian and US carriers and business," Vegesna said.
