The SMCD3GNV received PacketCable? 2.0 E-DVA Certification from CableLabs® Certification Wave 78.  The SMCD3GNV is a highly advanced DOCSIS® 3.0 Voice gateway based on 8x4 DOCSIS 3.0 innovation that delivers voice, data and wireless connectivity. PacketCable 2.0 E-DVA research enables VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone service and full integration with analog phones and faxes. This robust platform provides an ideal solution for cable operators to aggressively grow their residential customer base.

The SMCD3GNV integrates the M5T PC2.0 E-DVA Firmware for TI Puma 5 from Media5 which allows SMC to offer PacketCable 2.0 functionality in their DOCSIS® 3.0 Multimedia Voice Gateway product.
