Sony's latest 3D, internet-ready television line-up
Perhaps in an effort to alleviate doubts as to whether there is enough 3D content to justify buying a 3DTV, Sony likely hopes that by building in internet connectivity it can pick up the slack.
The company's own BRAVIA Internet Video
The company's own BRAVIA Internet Video and Qriocity services will provide some content for consumers to watch, and if enough people spring for 3D-enabled cameras, there should be more user-generated media hitting the interwebs as so then.
Sony has as well jumped on the VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) bandwagon, putting a Skype chat on your television thanks to an optional camera/mic unit. It would be nice if this was built-in, but maybe that's something to look forward to down the road.
The ability to record to hard disk via USB
Other features include the ability to record to hard disk via USB, as then as smartphone applications to turn your mobile into a television remote. Certain VAIO notebooks will as well be capable to interfacing with the TVs as then, which will come in handy when doing any typing during browsing the net. See below for for more specs on this new BRAVIA lineup.
