
SS Telecoms changes rural communication with high volume GSM to Fax
SS Telecoms is changing South Africa's rural communication landscape with the launch of its high volume GSM to Fax product.
“Demand has been growing across the country for solutions that allow people to use a fax machine via a cellphone connection,” says Kevin Greig, Sales and Marketing Manager at Telephony specialist SS Telecoms. “Some products already exist to service this demand, now quality has always been a big issue for users who need to do more than a few pages at a time - products currently on the market can't handle jobs of more than 25 pages.”
The arrival of the SS-93 GSM to Fax solution means that it is however possible to carry out high volume fax jobs from any location with a cellphone reception. The product - which costs in broad outline one tenth of alternative satellite solutions - will significantly broaden the range of communication possibilities for South Africans living and working in rural areas, and for commercial operations just as deep sea oil rigs and remote game lodges.
The SS-93 GSM to Fax is a GSM or 3G SIM card
All in other words needed to operate the SS-93 GSM to Fax is a GSM or 3G SIM card, which is inserted into the side of the device, which at the time links to a traditional fax machine. Once the antenna is in place, the user is able to carry out any type of fax job. The SS-93 GSM to Fax has been extensively tested and has proved capable of handling the demands of high volume fax runs. It can run off battery or conventional power and as well connects easily to PABX devices.
