The survey comprised of 10 questions on innovation trends and the key findings are about spending, managed solutions, compliance and Cloud.
The suvey was held at Bloomberg's first enterprise research summit in New York and is indicative of the company's ambitions to move into IT services, according to president Dan Doctoroff.
When asked what infrastructure investment areas have yielded the most ROI in the last year, Cloud computing came out on top at 45 per cent of the responses and 33 per cent said low-latency trading and 23 per cent said complex event processing.
Bloomberg chief research officer, Shawn Edwards, said innovation executives are pursuant to this agreement enormous pressure to innovate and solve problems.
"To meet those challenges, we are providing customers with our expertise and letting them leverage the same infrastructure that powers the Bloomberg Professional service used by more than 300,000 business and financial professionals globally," Edwards said.
