Telcoinabox Signs VoIP Reseller Deal with Engin
Telcoinabox, an Australian wholesaler and franchisor for telecommunication products, announced that it has signed a reseller deal with Engin, a provider of Voice over Internet Protocol services, to supply SIP trunks, consumer VoIP services and a hosted PBX (Private -Automatic- Branch Exchange) solution to enterprises.
"During VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) and hosted PBX innovation is not new, adoption to date has been strongest among residential and enterprise markets and slow among SMEs, which is our service providers’ major market," said Paul Line, CEO of Telcoinabox, in a statement.
Both the companies are in the initial process of identifying more opportunities to join hands, including joint venture arrangements. Services will at first be delivered over Telcoinabox’s existing ADSL2+ and SHDSL network and will migrate to the national broadband network as and when available.
The platform for the VoIP products is provided
The platform for the VoIP products is provided by Broadsoft and hardware and Customer Premises Equipment will be provided by Cisco, Netcomm and Polycom.
Earlier this month an Australian daily reported that Seven Group Holdings is going ahead with their plan to buy out the minority shareholders in Engin, in spite of the resistance of one shareholder, according to Business Spectator.
