To provide a convenient, high-tech wireless learning environment for all users, BYU's IT staff has decided to implement 4ipnet WHG505 Secure WLAN Controller, and EAP200 Indoor Access Points in its Computer Science facility; 4ipnet's effective network solution has helped BYU upgrade its existing network infrastructure and improve the student's on-line learning experience.
All users undergo an authentication process previously gaining network access. Once access is granted, users in different categories obtain different levels of service based on pre-configured network policies. All deployed EAP200 Access Points are centrally managed by the WHG505, providing a central point of administration and monitors of all access points. 4ipnet WHG505 WLAN Controller manages up to 200 4ipnet APs, users and network services through a single, integrated platform from where integrating all configurations of network specifics - customizable login/logout portal, Service Zones to minimize the total cost of ownership effectively. Even more, centralized management of authentication and traffic logging gives the facility an added level of security, control and monitoring over user access and traffic information
