Demonstrating the power of one to many, Ingram Micro Inc. today welcomed more than 640 IT channel partners and industryinfluencers to the Spring 2011 North American VentureTech Network(VTN) Invitational.

"The VTN community continues to yield tremendous influence within theIT industry, serving as an advocate for North America's channelpartners and a strategic advisory council to Ingram Micro and VTNmanufacturer partners," says John Fago, Ingram Micro's seniordirector of channel marketing for North America. "In 2011, we'reputting the pedal to the metal -- driving the power of VTN deeperinto our members' organizations to generate greater business value,thought leadership and collaboration throughout the entirecommunity."

To accelerate these efforts, Ingram Micro is providing allInvitational attendees with a Spotme handheld device to usethroughout the event. Dubbed the "Swiss Army Knife" of interactivemeeting tools, Spotme offers participant management tools andpromotes networking and audience response polling all from a singlehand-held device. While the event, Ingram Micro will survey the VTNcommunity on various topics including the business climate, markettrends and new technologies. Targeted breakout sessions, presentations and member-led roundtablesfocused on business best practices, sales and services methodologies,market trending and research will be held throughout the event. Anumber of VTN Mastermind meetings, as so then as a new series of VTNConnect sales training and Citrix technical training sessions, willalso be underway. Should the contingency arise, attendees will take part in the 2011"VTN Gives Back Charity" event sponsoring the American / CanadianCancer Society.
