The use of its name
iCloud Communications has dropped its lawsuit against Apple over the use of its name. Instead, the VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service has decided to change its name to Clear Digital Communications.
The lawsuit
The lawsuit, filed in June afterwards Apple officially unveiled its iCloud offering, had aimed to get Cupertino to change the name of its service, as so then as snag a decent amount of compensation.
Now even though, the company has had a change of heart, saying it’s not interested in chasing Apple. There was no official line from the renamed firm, however at least Apple’s legal team can now focus on its other myriad courtroom battles.
