Total Attorneys Releases 2011 Small Law Firm Technology Report

On July 29th, Total Attorneys released its 2011 Small Law Firm Innovation Report. The free report is based on survey responses from more than 300 small law firm and solo attorneys and addresses such issues as the use of digital file management systems, remote access and collaboration, use of mobile devices and other law practice management tools and processes.

The data indicates that clear changes are occurring in the legal profession, particularly with regard to the traditional brick and mortar law practice with standard business hours. More than a quarter of attorneys surveyed said they worked from home, laptops or public computers every day, and more than 54% reported using a mobile device to read or send business email on meanwhile a daily basis. Remote access to calendars, contacts, firm accounts and even client files appears to be commonplace via both the Internet and mobile devices.
