
Update knowledge to counter cyber crime'
KOZHIKODE: P.N. Raveendran, Judge, Kerala High Court, on Saturday inaugurated the second-day deliberations of the three-day UGC sponsored Inter disciplinary national seminar on legal and regulatory mechanism governing information innovation and cyber forensics.
P.B. Nayar, Lincoln University, U.K., spoke on communication issues in cyber advocacy and K. Kamaneesh, Additional Munsiff, Kollam, on better court management using cyber skills. M.A. Manoj, senior project engineer and Pawar Digambar, scientist, CDAC, Thiruvananthapuram, presented papers on indigenous cyber forensic tools and data carving in cyber forensics respectively.
In his presentation, P.V.S. Giridhar, lawyer from Chennai, explained the legal regime governing data protection, consumer protection and intellectual property rights. Manu Zacharia, of Hack-it-Research and Advisory Services, dealt with the topic on cloud computing and cyber forensics.
