V7 Unveils Line of Unmanaged Networking Switches

SANTA ANA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--V7, the exclusive house brand for Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM - News) and provider of premier computer accessories worldwide, today unveiled a new line of affordable, high-performance networking switches to be sold through Ingram Micro's global network of value-added IT resellers and e-tailers.

Ideal for small or growing networks requiring reliable and affordable performance, V7 8-Port and 5-Port Unmanaged 10/100/1000 Ethernet and Gigabit Networking Switches allow small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) and home users to connect multiple computers as well as cameras, print and media servers, storage devices, VoIP phones and more to an Ethernet or wireless LAN without creating network bottlenecks.

Option of two speeds (fast Ethernet or Gigabit)

Available with an option of two speeds (fast Ethernet or Gigabit), the V7 line is easy to install and use, standards-based and fully compatible with existing 10/100 and 10/100/1000 network infrastructure.

With prices starting well below top-name brands, the unmanaged five-port and eight-port Ethernet switches are offered at $24.99 (model # NS0132-N6) and $49.99 (model # NS0142-N6) suggested retail price (SRP) respectively. The Gigabit five-port and eight-port unmanaged switches are available at $59.99 (model # NS1132-N6) and $79.99 (model # NS1142-N6) SRP respectively.

"With V7's new unmanaged networking switches, small-office/home office, small businesses and the geared-up home user can enjoy increased network functionality without having to spend a lot of money or have advanced training," said Robert Forster, director of product marketing for Ingram Micro's Private Label division. "Once you connect the hardware, your switch is in business and so is your network."
