D'Youville College named Arup K. Sen vice president for academic affairs. Sen, who joined the college in 2002 as a faculty member, before served as chairman of the Business Department and director of graduate business and "Advance," an adult learning program, and interim vice president for academic affairs. A graduate of the University of Calcutta, India, and Hampton University, he received his master's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and his Ph. D. from the University at Buffalo.

Lawley Benefits Group in Buffalo appointed Tracy Johnson associate partner. Johnson is responsible for new business acquisition and supporting the Underwriting and Report Team. Johnson, a certified health consultant, has more than 25 years of experience. Most recently, she worked as the chief underwriting officer for Brown and Brown of New York in Buffalo. She is a graduate of the University of Buffalo.

VoIP Supply, a supplier of VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) equipment and complete solutions, promoted Garrett Smith to chief marketing officer to oversee the company's business development and marketing departments. Smith started with the company in 2003. He is a graduate of Canisius College.

The law firm Bond

The law firm Bond, Schoeneck& King named Stephen A. Sharkey partner in its Buffalo office. Sharkey is a trial attorney with experience representing financial institutions, businesses, insurance companies and individuals in federal and state courts. He is a graduate of Geneseo State College and the University at Buffalo School of Law.

M&T Bank promoted Rajiv Ranjan and Eric S. Lancaster to administrative vice president. Ranjan joined the bank in 2004. He holds a master's degree from Darden School of Business, University of Virginia and a bachelor's degree from Birla Institute of Research in Ranchi, India. Lancaster joined the bank in 2009 and holds a bachelor's degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

The law firm Damon Morey, with offices in Buffalo, Clarence and Rochester, named Karen Cook Serotte special counsel practicing in the firm's Real Estate Department and the Estates and Trusts Department and Jeffrey P. Gleason associate practicing in the firm's Business and Corporate Department. Cook Serotte graduated from the School of Management at Boston College and received her J. D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law. Gleason is a University of South Carolina graduate and received his J. D. from the UB School of Law.
