Vodacom opens a Cape Town data centre

The telecoms company said its cloud computing service was already gaining traction in South Africa and in doing so the need to expand it beyond Gauteng.

“Since the establishment of our Business Services division just over three years ago, we are seeing business clients of all sizes demand more and more services to run and grow their organisations,” said Chris Ross the managing executive of commercial at Vodacom.

Vodacom partnered with VMware and Novell in pulling out this scalable cloud computing which works with any modern data centre.
