Wholesale VoIP Provider Announces Merger

The merger brings at the same time two companies with similar markets however different and complementary offerings. The VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) solutions and its associated services from ISPhone will combine the aggregated wholesale telecommunication services from buroserv.

The service from ISPhone includes DSL, Fiber, hosted PBX (Private -Automatic- Branch Exchange), cloud-based hosted applications, and the like. The company as well owns and manages its own national voice and data network and provides a range of solutions in the IP space.

buroserv, to make up for it, uses a sophisticated operational/business support systems system on a virtualized platform providing aggregated wholesale telecommunication services, just as fixed line, fixed wireless, and other Ethernet services.

The new company will focus on offering both "traditional and future" telecommunications products and services for business and channel partners throughout Australia. They include a complete range of IP-based and fixed-wire telecommunications solutions and services from all of the tier one carriers in the wholesale market.

"The company will be unequalled in its ability to provide the Channel with a variety of services from different providers pursuant to this agreement a single billing platform, whilst however maintaining its own carrier-grade national IP network," company officials said.

Following the merger, Lakshman Mawalagedera, founder of buroserv and former chief operating officer of Commander, will be appointed as managing director of CONTINUUM Communications, an official announcement from the company said.

Mawalagedera said, "Today most Channels need to go to a host of providers to get a range of services during setting up contracts and paying deposits. Both ISPhone and buroserv have existing relationships with the different top carriers: ISPhone is connected to Optus, Soul, Primus and PIPE; and buroserv with Telstra, AAPT and BigAir."

This merger, according to Mawalagedera, provides Channel partners with a one-stop-shop for a comprehensive suite of telecommunication products and services from multiple carriers.

CONTINUUM Communications plans to actively target resellers and dealers that are unhappy with the limitations and heavy-handedness of the telcos and that are looking for a broader product set with more flexibility, according to company officials.

In related industry news, nationwide wholesale VoIP provider Alcazar Networks announced that it has expanded its dialer termination footprint to cover 100 percent of Canada which includes over 26,400 routes. These Canada routes are just in case to the wholesale VoIP company’s full US48 dialer termination deck which currently has over 140,800 routes.
