WhosHere For iPhone Localizes In Several Languages

WhosHere™, an iOS mobile social networking app, continues to experience tremendous international success since its launch in July 2008. Within months of it's initial release, WhosHere usage spread to over 150 countries. Now the makers of WhosHere have rolled out a version of the popular iPhone software that is localized for several of its key markets. The new languages are Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean and Spanish. Additional languages including Arabic, German, Italian and Portuguese, will be added in early 2011.

In Korea, WhosHere is the 16th most popular app in the social networking category and is in the top 100 of the entire Korean App store. With over 300,000 iPhone apps, that puts WhosHere in the 99th percentile in Korea and several other markets. In the United States, WhosHere continues to excel and is a top 50 app in the social networking category.

WhosHere is the first mobile social networking app for the iPhone to let you meet new people and interact based on proximity. The application introduces you to people that you have something in common. When you find someone interesting, you can send them free text and image messages and make free VOIP calls. All this is done without disclosing any personal information unless the user chooses to provide it.

myRete, Inc. was founded in March 2008 with the singular focus of bringing an exceptional mobile social networking experience to the iPhone and its millions of users. Rete is Italian for "network". Offices: San Mateo, CA and Alexandria, VA.
