
Windows Mango is people's first smartphone
BANGALORE, INDIA: "Strengthening our smartphones with a consumer experience driven portfolio for dual platform will be the key for Nokia in coming years," said Vipul Mehrotra, director and head of smart devices, Nokia.

Addressing the developers and delegates of Nokia Developer Conference 2011, he said Symbian-based smartphones are very much part of Nokia's portfolio. "We will continue to invest and support all the Symbian-based smartphones and its users till 2016."
Elaborating on the newly launched Nokia Windows Mango phone, Mehrotra said, "we have built the new device with Nokia's strength and experience. We are happy to say that it is our first fruit from our partnership."
The Nokia Windows phone
Briefing about the Nokia Windows phone, Harish Vaidyanathan, director - technical evangelism, Microsoft India said, "When we started the design of Microsoft Windows phone 7.5 codenamed, Mango, we wanted to put people on the screen than displaying regular apps icon. So, we added something called Metro style to our user interface --- a self explanatory block and not an icon. This Metro style is embedded with different tiles, which as well resemble a block."
That isn't the only reason why he thinks Windows Mango as people's first phone. "The OS running in this phone is totally different and it integrates all the new components and today we are proud to launch the phone which has come out very so then," he said.
The capabilities of Internet Explorer 9 research
Vaidyanathan didn't forget to highlight that they could include all the capabilities of Internet Explorer 9 research, which they had done for desktop to mobile.
Stating that the digital consumer has arrived, he said the Internet is like a friend and people want everyone to share.
Aggarwal said during smartphones will gain momentum, India will all in all retain a sizeable component of feature and low cost devices.

Explaining the latest buzz in the cloud computing arena, Aggarwal said that with the invent of cloud computing for development, services will become entry point to customer perspectives and as well enable more opportunities for software developers.
