With Verizon iPhone, how many will flee AT&T?
For those waiting for a VerizoniPhone, the wait may not be much longer. Citing a person familiar with Apple's plans "who isn't authorized to discuss them openly," Bloomberg has been reporting that Apple will "probably" introduce a Verizon iPhone after then week's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Nevertheless what's interesting about the latest articles is that analysts are already predicting the number of AT&T clients who will defect to Verizon for its new iPhone.
The estimates range from 1 million to 6 million moving from AT&T to Verizon, even though the bulk of sales of a potential Verizon iPhone would after all come from current Verizon clients updating their existing phones.
If you haven't heard, the value of a minute of voice time on AT&T's network just tanked, meanwhile for iPhone users, with last week's release of Viber, a new free VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) app just released on the iTunes App Store.
