ZoomSwitch Receives 2011 UC TMC Labs Innovation Award

ZoomSwitch’s latest wireless headset accessory ZMS20-UC has won the 2011 Unified Communications TMC Labs Research Award. The ZMS20-UC is as well compatible with all VXi Corp. wireless headsets.

Recent release

According to a recent release, The ZMS20-UC adds USB functionality to existing wireless and corded office phone headsets, allowing users to easily switch between office phone and PC audio communications at the touch of a button.

Many headset companies use ZMS20-UC as a headset accessory for Microsoft Lync / OCS, Cisco, IBM, Avaya, ShoreTel, Skype and other unified communications solutions. ZoomSwitch products are compatible with Plantronics CS-Series, Plantronics H-Series and other office headset brands including Jabra, Sennheiser, and VXi.

The company’s Unified Communications magazine

TMC’s Unified Communication Awards are derived from the company’s Unified Communications magazine, which is devoted to educating enterprise decision makers on why and how they need to organize unified communications solutions.

"The TMC Labs engineers have extensive knowledge of the UC market and selected only those companies that demonstrated their out-of-box thinking to transform the industry. We’re proud to grant ZoomSwitch with a Unified Communications TMC Labs Research Award. ZMS20-UC has shown true research and is deserving of this recognition," said TMC CEO Rich Tehrani.

The ZMS20-UC is often used as a USB adapter for headsets in UC implementations where the office phone is being removed in every respect and communications is occurring solely over the computer.

In order to leverage this existing investment, companies use the ZMS20 to add USB functionality to existing headsets so users may communicate through the office phone or the PC interchangeably, at the touch of a button, through a single headset. The ZMS20-UC comes into the equation when an organization implementing UC realizes that they have made a significant investment in non-USB wireless and wired office phone headsets.
