And Chleon Automotive Announce Strategic Partnership to Develop the Next Generation Connected In-Vehicle Infotainment System

In today's automotive market, the importance of connectivity with cloud computing is rapidly increasing. In September 2011, in alliance with Nokia, Alpine announced its first system ready for "Mirror Link," the standard of smart phone connectivity solutions for the "Car Connectivity Consortium(*1)."

The Alpine and Chleon partnership aims to develop a straightway generation connected infotainment system, which will enable direct connectivity to internet cloud networking through an integrated communication module. Chleon will provide its Application Management platform, which Alpine will integrate to its in-vehicle infotainment unit.

Chleon's powerful connected solution will offer drivers the latest cloud-based entertainment, just as social networking services, internet radio programming, emergency road assistance and remote vehicle diagnostics. Several content providers of internet radio, SNS and other entertainment apps have already agreed to join this platform, and discussions are continuing with other partners to furthermore expand content and service quality.
