Avnet Innovation Solutions has expanded its distribution agreement with virtualisation and cloud giant VMware. As a result Avnet will provide VMware virtualisation research to its reseller network in Ireland.

Strong presence in Ireland

“Avnet Research Solutions has a strong presence in Ireland, which we believe will add considerable value to VMware in Europe,” said Ian Moore, country manager, VMware Ireland.

“The services and support Avnet provides will enable partners to take their clients to the at once level of virtualisation, including management solutions and end-user computing.”

“This distribution agreement will enable our channel partners to easily deliver the key elements for virtualisation solutions critical to the effective management of today's data centres and IT infrastructures,” said Tom Ellis, virtualisation product business group manager, Avnet Innovation Solutions EMEA.
