Battlefield 3 patch dated for PS3, improved commo rose

We highlighted many exciting changes in the patch before; now the full changelog is here, even though unfortunately little in the way of new features is noted, and several pertinent matters remain unaddressed. Given the length of time it took to get this patch out, frustrated players may have to remain frustrated on these matters for several months more, although no doubt this patch will make the wait for the moment a little easier.

New features include custom servers on console and better minimap, the latter of which sports options for three detail modes. It's nevertheless more or less an "orgy of glow worms" as one player put it, nevertheless significantly better regardless -- determining where the enemy is and calling that out to squadmates, for instance, should be easier. Additionally, an improved commo rose will offer more commands which trigger voice call outs and flashing minimap icons, and PS3 users will be able to disable anti-aliasing, which should improve input responsiveness at the cost of jagged edges.
