
Cops say Cele supporters being targeted
Moodley was threatened with suspension afterwards he allegedly made false disclosures in terms of the Regulation of Interception of Communications and Provision of Communication-related Information Act 70, of 2002.
He stood accused of allegedly reporting false information in an affidavit involving the tapping of the phone of a fraud suspect in 2010. This resulted in the wrong phone being intercepted.
It is as well understood that Colonel Zulu, who allegedly carried out the instruction to tap the phone, as well submitted a statement to police management saying that Moodley had not issued an unlawful instruction.
