The platform allows the workers select from thousands of tasks and work whenever it is convenient. Amazon Mechanical Turk is believed to help businesses finish projects quicker and cheaper by deploying multiple workers then and there, to complete tasks over the Internet.

The survey sought to explain how platforms just as Amazon Mechanical Turk are changing the labor market. This new generationIinternet based job market, according to the survey, is fast replacing the outsourcing model and giving companies access to dramatically lower-cost labor.
