
EPA could put 80 percent of its computing in the cloud by 2015
The Environmental Protection Agency is looking to shift up to 80 percent of its computing environment to the cloud by 2015, reports David Hubler in Washington Research.
The three-year plan
As part of the three-year plan, EPA's National Computing Center is building an agencywide hybrid cloud environment. CGI will serve as the external enterprise cloud provider, delivering a range of services, including hosting and virtualization in its secure cloud.
