
FCC's net neutrality rules scheduled to take effect November 20
The Federal Communications Commission has released its final set of rules and laws that cover net neutrality and provide an open internet to users. The laws are scheduled to take effect on November 20 of this year, provided internet service providers and wireless carriers don't prevent that from happening.
Net neutrality is the concept that internet service should not be restricted based on what it is used for. The same amount of bandwidth should be available to each user, regardless of what they do with that bandwidth. Consumers usually feel that net neutrality is good thing, during internet service providers and wireless carriers claim that it does not allow them from prevent their networks from becoming overloaded.
