Fonality Selects Sonus to Enhance Network Performance and Capability

Sonus Networks, Inc., global leader in SIP communications, today announced that Fonality has selected Sonus to enhance the performance, reliability and capability of its Cloud-hosted VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) and Unified Communications network. A new Sonus customer, Fonality is one of North America’s fastest growing providers of business communications and has enabled more than two billion calls across the Cloud. The solution features Sonus® SBC 5200 session border controllers and will enhance Fonality’s current Cloud-hosted network by simplifying it through SIP trunk consolidation during also reducing their operating costs. The new capabilities are expected to furthermore harden the security of Fonality’s network and enable the firm to accommodate rapid new user growth for those demanding SIP-based UC and contact center application features.
