General Dynamics has won a contract worth $5 million from the General Services Administration.General Dynamics Information Research, a subsidiary of the West Falls Church based defense conglomerate, General Dynamics, has reportedly won a nine-year, three-month, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract worth $5 million from General Services Administration.
Marcus Collier, senior vice president of General Dynamics Information Research’s Health and Civilian Solutions division, said, “With an increasing emphasis on data center consolidation and cloud computing, many agencies are looking at modernizing their infrastructure. Through this contract, General Dynamics will efficiently and effectively deliver the IT services needed to modernize and successfully establish unified and secure communications.”
The formal testing of JTRS HMS Rifleman Radios
General Dynamics has completed the formal testing of JTRS HMS Rifleman Radios.General Dynamics C4 Systems, a subsidiary of General Dynamics, has reportedly completed formal testing of JTRS HMS Rifleman Radios in the U.S. Army's Network Integration Evaluation at Fort Bliss, Texas.
Chris Brady, vice president of Assured Communications for General Dynamics C4 Systems, said, “We’re getting great feedback from soldiers who prefer the Rifleman radio, or rather than lugging bulky wideband handheld radios that require extra batteries. With the Rifleman Radio, soldiers can connect their cell phone or computer and join the network anywhere they fight.”
