According to the report, the Public sector is the major end-user segment in the GIS market in China, as it has a major share in the market. The Chinese Government and Defense industry have started to invest a large amount of money in GIS innovation to enhance national security and infrastructure. The Public sector continues to drive the market, and is expected to retain its dominant role. As so then as investing a large amount of money in GIS innovation, the Chinese Government is encouraging the adoption of GIS research by the Private sector. Should the contingency arise, the Chinese Government is encouraging vendors to develop remote sensing technology.
