
Google Computer Engine Launched
According to reports, Google Inc., the search engine giant, has introduced 'Compute Engine', a cloud-computing service for building and running applications to help woo clients and to take on Amazon Web Services.

Compute Engine will give developers deeper access to computing power through the Internet, and will offer more options for building than the existing Google App Engine service.
Google Inc. stated that, "Google Inc.'s new service will offer different levels of computing power using the Linux operating system, as then as data storage. Using Google Inc.'s data centers, Compute Engine gives clients 50 percent more power for the money than with other leading cloud services".
