Marcie Ritter of Squirrel Hill calls hers a "low-tech idea": She keeps recipe clippings in a three-ring binder with page protectors. On each recipe, she writes the date she clipped it, allowing for periodic purging. The binder can be organized by date, course, ingredient or any desired system, using dividers. She even suggests creating a spreadsheet listing the binder's contents for quick searching.
