Hitachi Selects Octasic's Vocallo Media Gateway

Octasic Inc., a leading innovator of media processing and wireless solutions, today announced that its Vocallo Media Gateway multi-core DSP platform has been selected by Hitachi for use in its hybrid IP-PBX (Private -Automatic- Branch Exchange) NETTOWER CX-01 targeted at large and medium-sized enterprises. Using Octasic's Vocallo MGW, Hitachi was able to build the NETTOWER CX-01 to provide enterprise clients the option to seamlessly combine both corporate data networks and TDM voice networks.

The NETTOWER CX-01 offers an IP-PBX that meets current enterprise requirements in reliability and flexible scalability. Software upgrades can add or improve features and they provide a flexible architecture to the NETTOWER CX-01, making it easily adaptable to changes in market demands. Support for Fixed Mobile Convergence features and smartphones enables the NETTOWER CX-01 to provide mobile phone users added convenience in their day-to-day work.
