
HP Selected to Build Technology Infrastructure
Hewlett-Packard Australia Pty ltd. today announced it has signed a innovation services agreement to design, build and maintain a portion of the information, communication and innovation systems for the South Australia Government's at once-generation digital hospital in Adelaide, Australia.
HP's deep applications, research and industry knowledge will play an important role in the delivery of the largest, most technologically advanced hospital ever built in Australia.
The new Royal Adelaide Hospital is the first facility to use version 2.0 of the HP Digital Hospital Solution as its innovation foundation. Managed by HP, this cohesive set of technologies and services replaces single-function systems with a comprehensive solution that aligns research with operational and patient priorities.

Medical systems including the nurse call system, picture archiving and communication system, and sophisticated bedside terminals as well will be integrated. Performance and fault monitoring will be provided from an HP Best Shore location.
