Least Cost Routing
For least cost routing providers, VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is offering a whole new area of possibility, as its flexibility makes it possible to route all traffic through the most affordable route. Most VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) companies are constantly seeking to provide service provider clients an efficient and effective method of deploying VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) solutions. Nevertheless, it’s common for them to have to dig a little deeper in order to find optimal routing functionality and address complex routing requirements.
A software company focused on providing least cost routing solutions to straightway-generation networks, TransNexus was more than accommodating when it came to helping VoIP managed services company VoIP Logic achieve proper routing methods.
VoIP Logic recently shared with TMCnet its successful experience with TransNexus. The interview follows below:
Global provider of VoIP managed services
VoIP Logic is a global provider of VoIP managed services, professional services and the creator of Cortex OSS for multi-system provisioning and management. VoIP Logic is focused on deploying, integrating and managing then-generation communications innovation. As such, we pride ourselves on 100-percent carrier and service provider neutrality.
VoIP Logic enables communications service providers worldwide to build and scale complex enterprise, consumer, carrier-to-carrier and advanced voice solutions. From infrastructure to advanced integration, VoIP Logic provides a comprehensive set of systems and solutions for deploying flexible, tested, and scalable services using VoIP research.
We provide systems from Cisco, Genband, BroadSoft, TransNexus, Acme Packet as so then as our B/OSS package, Cortex, allowing our service provider clients to efficiently and effectively deploy complex VoIP solutions and, in turn, to address the needs of their clients with highly-customized VoIP offerings.
In our search, we examined the routing solutions offered by five providers. TransNexus’ solution won out, ultimately, because of its flexibility and wide breadth of functionality. As well, TransNexus worked closely with VoIP Logic to understand the nuances of each of our clients’ applications and to ensure that they were properly addressed at each stage of the deployment.
TMCnet: Please elaborate on VoIP Logic’s experience with working with TransNexus and the process of implementing the solutions.
Jim Dalton, CEO of TransNexus, and his colleagues are highly skilled, always ready to help with deployments and provide support if necessary. We’ve come to respect the manner in which they systematically address each deployment. Furthermore, they’ve worked hard to understand the particulars of the Genband S3, the platform with which their systems are typically being integrated for VoIP Logic clients, and have changed their development roadmap to include modifications to their code to accommodate the S3 in a variety of ways.
We’ve been able to better address some of the more complex routing requirements of a number of our clients. This, in turn, allows our clients to grow their volumes and their capacity requirements, both good, ultimately, for VoIP Logic.
