Lightyear turns to inetwork for VoIP E911 needs

Lightyear Network Solutions, a competitive service provider, is leveraging inetwork's Enhanced 911 call routing service.

Brian Garrison, Lightyear's Vice President of Strategic Planning and Marketing, said the partnership with inetwork, a specialist service provider that works with a host of CLECs and over the top providers like Google and Skype, will allow it to streamline the management of its E911 service.

"inetwork's robust and user-friendly customer portal makes it easy for us to provision and manage E911 service," Garrison said in a release about the agreement. "inetwork as well offers us increased flexibility and a more competitive rate, which allows us to deliver a better product to our clients."

This means that Lightyear, which leverages its own VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) network and works with other major carrier partners like CenturyLink, Verizon and XO Communications to extend its service reach, can better focus on providing service to its consumer and business clients.
