MEDL Mobile Puts the "GiddyUp" Back in Your Social Life

MEDL Mobile, Inc., a leader in mobile apps development, announced today the launch of GiddyUp, a new mobile app designed to make social event planning easy and efficient. Developed with the San Francisco-based startup of the same name, GiddyUp simplifies the process of planning impromptu happy hours, group dinners and any type of outing by allowing users to quickly create events, neatly display event details, generate quick responses and answer the age-old questions "What is everybody doing tonight?" and "Who else is going?" The free app, which operates on both Apple iOS & Android platforms, is available now in the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Unlike other social apps, GiddyUp eliminates traditional barriers of event planning by enabling any mobile phone with Internet and SMS capabilities to participate in group planning with no sign-up required. GiddyUp facilitates get-togethers of all types and sizes with the contacts in your phone. Users simply create an event, invite friends, chat using the built-in group chat feature, and RSVP. Users are alerted via push notifications or SMS, significantly reducing the wait time typically associated with email, Facebook, Evite and other platforms, and allowing participants to find out who's "in" and who's "out" for a particular "GiddyUp" in minutes.

"Part of why we loved the concept of GiddyUp is because it's based around the user's contact list, those individuals you reach out to on a whim, who comprise your truest social network," said Dave Swartz, MEDL Mobile co-founder and chief creative officer. "Thanks to this and its clear-cut, easy-to-use tools and features, we feel that GiddyUp accomplishes its aim to take the frustration out of social planning so it's easier for today's busy people to enjoy fuller social lives."

MEDL Mobile Inc., an early leader in the emerging mobile applications software market, is engaged in the monetization of mobile apps through four primary revenue generating platforms: development of customized apps for third parties to monetize their particular intellectual property, persona or brand, incubation of apps in partnership with third parties and from a library of more than 85,000 original apps concept submissions, sale of advertising and sponsorship opportunities directly to brands and acquisition of apps from other developers and use of a proprietary application programming interface, or API, to make Apps recommendations for our user base.
