
Microsoft Corporation Targets 10 India Start-ups
Reports say that Microsoft Corporation, the global software major, is planning to incubate 10 early-stage research start-ups in India.
The start-ups are in cloud computing
The start-ups are in cloud computing, internet and mobile sector, and will use its Accelerator for Windows Azure programme to help them build their businesses.
The start-ups will as well be able to leverage Microsoft Corporation's Metro user interface on Window 8 and Window Phone to operate in a cloud environment.
Amit Chatterjee, Microsoft Corporation India Managing Director, said that, “The start-ups will have access to our resources just as BizSpark programme and $60,000 in Azure credit through BizSpark Plus programme to take advantage of the cloud. The start-ups will have the benefit of mentorship and coaching from successful entrepreneurs, leading venture capitalists and industry leaders. Microsoft Corporation is as well partnering with industry mentors to provide start-ups with the support they need to innovate and become successful businesses".
