More buildings to get ultra-fast broadband
As of last December, the network has been deployed to over 19,000 commercial buildings and offices. Buildings that are currently connected include Suntec City Office Towers, HarbourFront Centre, Shaw House and Shaw Centre. Then Gen NBN is Singapore's nationwide ultra-high speed fibre network.
Connected buildings and offices get faster broadband speeds, and can as well make use of technologies just as cloud computing, which provides access to huge computing power, software and data storage.
It is part of Singapore's Intelligent Nation 2015 masterplan to provide faster broadband services across homes and commercial buildings here.
