Motorola releases an update to the Atrix mobile phone

Motorola announced this news over Facebook, from their Motorola Europe account and in a message that reads: ‘The upgrade to Android 2.3.4 is now available for T-Mobile UK Motorola ATRIX owners.' whilst adding ‘Please visit www.motorola.com/update or www.motorola.com/myatrix to for instructions and to download.'

The back of a similar announcement

This comes off the back of a similar announcement by Motorola on November 25th, where the same version of Android ‘Gingerbread' 2.3 was unveiled for Atrix mobile phones on the Orange network

The update brings the build on the Motorola Atrix to the build 45.31.0, which includes the new 2.3.4 platform; with new UI themes; improved touchscreen keyboard in both landscape and portrait mode; a new copy and paste functionality; improved power management; better application management; a new download manager; support for VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol)/SIP calls; new camera application for accessing multiple cameras and support for ever larger screens.

There is as well the removal Libpng native code execution vulnerability; with auto accept of Bluetooth pairing removed too for handsfree profile vulnerability; a patch for Android browser vulnerability with social network support for Flickr and YouTube.
